Hi, I'm Jacob Garthwaite, the owner and lead videographer of Kraken Wedding Films based in the beautiful city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

We started making wedding films when a friend of ours asked us to put our cinematography skills to the test and capture their beautiful Yorkshire wedding at Danby Castle. After an amazing day and a few days of editing the resulting film reduced us to two blubbering messes. Ever since, our aim has always been to bring that same energy and emotion into our wedding films for our couples and tell their story. 

Whether it's your vows, your dad's speech or just the madness of everything that is a wedding. We want you to relive the essence of your special day each time you press play on your wedding film.

Beyond the lens, I love exploring new places and hiking around the Northumberland hills. Finally, I'm an avid long-distance runner, participating in the gorgeous Great North Run every year.
